Feeling down? Feeling up? Somewhere in the middle? This week is all about capturing a feeling. There are many techniques we can use to convey certain feelings, like bluish tones for melancholy and bright orange tones for joy. There’s also lens choices. Notice how when shooting wide and from above, you can convey a sense of loneliness. Shooting from below can give a larger-than-life superhero look. Finally there’s body pose and context. Hands raised in the air on a mountaintop? That will convey a certain feeling as opposed to someone curled up into a ball in the corner of a room.
